Overview

Ashish Seals is one of the leading Single & Dual Flow Rotary Union Manufacturers, suppliers, and Exporters in Mumbai, India. Being an ISO 9001-2015 certified company, the offered products finds their wide application in many industries. A dual flow rotary union allows supply and return via the same joint. This is suitable for steam supply, water, and hot oil return service.

Single & Dual Flow Rotary Union offer an interface that allows fluid media such as steam, air, or liquid to be transferred between a static component and a rotating component. It is designed to accommodate numerous media conditions, such as very low and high temperatures, pressures, flows, including vacuum applications. Rotary unions work for applications that involve any combination of rotational angles like continuous rotation in a single direction.

Working Principle of Rotary Unions

Rotating unions is also known as swivel union, rotary joint, or a swivel joint based on the kind of environment this is needed for. It locks on an input valve while rotating. This is done to meet an outlet. At this time the liquid and/or gas flow into the rotary union from the source. It is then held within the device during its flow. This then leaves the union at the time when the valve is open at the time of its rotation. The liquid and/or gas then flow into the union once again for the subsequent rotation. To function under constant movement and high pressure, this rotary union is designed to rotate around an axis. Its design can be changed to increase the rpm or psi for increasing the number of valves if needed.

Factors to be Considered When Choosing Rotary Unions

Some of the factors that should be considered while choosing a Rotary Unions are the pressure of media, the flow rate of media, speed of rotation, allowable leakage, the temperature of media, and type of media being transferred.
